Be A Meditator- The more you meditate, the happier you will grow

We all know that more mindful reading gives us more knowledge. In the same way, the more we do mindful meditation the happier we grow. Meditation can increase our level of feel-good chemicals, like endorphins and serotonin. It also triggers the production of neurochemicals like GABA. It becomes easier to make life happier through meditation.                                                                                                                                                                               Keep Meditating

Meditation Balances Ego and Attachment

"I cannot live without him", or other extreme "he is mine". "Oh, my god so much attachment. " One might have observed that ego and attachment cause many unhappy moments in our lives. Sometimes they lead to violent reactions too. Attachment is a feeling that binds us to a person, thing, cause or likes. If these situations are not the way we imagined, we suffer. We need to learn to accept what comes our way and let go when it's time. Similarly, when someone corrects us and we feel offended, then we have an ego problem. Ego, judges and punishes. Ego says, "I am still angry about yesterday you must apologize'. We can get rid of excess ego and attachment by regular practice of meditation. When the ego dies, the soul awakens.                                                               Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- An accountable individual's traits

One Forbes author pointed out,                                                                                                                       " someone who takes responsibility for their actions is an accountable individual. This is what they may look like in action or job." what do we do to attain such a responsible attitude, meditate regularly, sincerely allowing only positivity.                                                                                                                                                                              Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Meditation is not the length, but the sincerity with which it is practiced

You might have come across people stating that "I have meditated for three hours or seven hours." True, if we read our scriptures, we will come across yogies, who went in samadhi for days. However, many studies seem to conclude that just 20 minutes of sincere meditation per day can result in significant benefits. Meditation is also about quality and not quantity. Every meditator has a unique personality, strength, and learning curve. So, for a common man, 20 minutes of sincere meditation per day should do good. Let meditational experience be our guide.                                                                                                                                                                      Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Meditation is where life begins and love keeps growing

Biologically life begins with the first breath of a child. Later we want to do so many things in our life, but a day thinking about what could happen! should happen! or what might have been! is a day missed. Distractions are everywhere. But we should notice what takes our attention, acknowledge it, and then let it go. But to let go is tough. Meditation can help in developing an attitude of letting go of things. When we learn to let go, life begins and love starts growing.                                                                                                                                                             Keep Meditating

Selfless Service Rebounds in Abundance

When we water a plant it grows into a tree. A number of trees bring back that water in the form of rain. If we sow a rice grain it multiplies and gives us bags full of rice. Similarly, if we give love, it spreads all around us. If we feed the poor we will always have enough. If we teach the uneducated our wisdom will augment. All this happens when services are selfless. Meditation strengthens the desire for selfless service.                                              Selfless service rebounds in abundance.                                                             Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Are you ready to take responsibility?

Be A Meditator- Meditate to switch off from planning to present moment

There might have been moments when you were totally flooded with the thoughts of the project you were planning. You were so engrossed that you might have even missed a meal or did not notice things around you. It does happen, the time spent dwelling on the project will surely continue in your present moment and the future. But if you are thinking about something else, then it is difficult to live and enjoy the present moment. Living in the present moment means letting go off the past. living your life consciously, aware of each moment. Awareness can be strengthened with the help of meditation. Meditate to switch from moment to moment, like planning for the required time and then returning to the present moment.                                                                                Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator-Bring your mind home. Release and relax

When something happens our mind starts working overtime. One can barely stop thinking about it. Incident plays over and over in our minds. it gets filled with thoughts, arguments and counter-argument. Emotions are on the rise. anger, aggression. and depression and so on. There may be an outburst of anger or a silent flow of tears. In either case, the mind renders us incapable of thinking logically. Under such situations look for a quiet place and observe your breath. (Ana Pana and Sati). Release and relax.                                                                                         Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Personal Accountability

Be A Meditator- Like a hollow bamboo, rest your body.

Rest your body, like a hollow bamboo. (a unique technique used by Trilopa, who used spiritual practices to attain Buddhahood)                                                                                                                               When you are sitting in complete silence. Not doing anything. Mouth and thoughts are inactive ( Not experienced by many) minds watching passively not waiting for anything particular. You become like a hollow bamboo. Suddenly, infinite energy starts pouring into you filled with the unknown. A hollow bamboo becomes a flute when air is blown into it. In the same way, observing your breath and resting your body, fills you with energy with divine power.                                                                                                                                                                      Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- I am ready to try again and again

What motivates us to keep going even after a failure? It's the courage within us, which does not roar all the time. After a short span of lul, if we are able to smile and rise to try again. It is because of the courage within us. This courage can be strengthened by regular practice of meditation.                                                                                                                      Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Face the struggles of life, Keep Meditating

Why do we have to struggle in our life? There is no definite answer to it. Some would say it is your karma. Others would say you did not make enough efforts in the right direction at the right time. There is another set of revered Guru's who would say it's an outcome of your past life karmas.  But the fact remains that everyone struggles in life at some or other time physically or emotionally.   Then what do we do? We all know, there is something that can help us.                                                        Meditation helps us to get up with awakened energy and full strength to face the struggles of life.                                                                         Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Meditate everyday

Work-work-work. There are people amongst us whose total life is just work and work. So, what's wrong with this? probably nothing. But if we observe closely, we will realize that all work kills the potential for discovery, mastery, flexibility, and openness to change. It hinders, innovation and invention. So to say all work takes away the spice of life. However, work along with meditation can make us full of life.                                                                            Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Meditate with your child

You might have seen some children throwing tantrums, off and on, and must have wished that your child doesn't do it. Meditation can help kids read and respond to their internal signals of stress before developing their brains and body give in to full blown tantrum.                                                                         Any parent wanting to teach meditational techniques to their child, must be first willing to start his or her own meditational practice. Just focus on your breath from start to finish. Kids need adults around them to behave in ways they can model. Kids also need to hear and feel that their adult know them well. meditate with your child. When you practice meditation together the connection will grow stronger.                                                                                Keep Meditating
