As we continue our practice, we realise that we are all equal

As we continue our practice,  we understand that we are equal in  the kingdom of god.

Be in the moment deeply ...

Be in the moment deeply.

Become aware of the inner life of your body

Become aware of the inner life of your body. There is deep wisdom in there.

If the present moment has peace, joy and happiness, the future will have it too ...

If the present moment has peace, joy and happiness,  the future will have it too

When we are present, each act becomes an end in itself ...

When we are present, each act becomes an end in itself

The way through the challenge, is to get still ...

Try this ...  "The way through the challenge is to get still and ask yourself, what is the next right move"  ~Oprah

Imagine your body with no head ...

If you imagine your body with no head,  you will notice that your thoughts start to recede. Source: Idea inspired by a meditation suggested by Osho

On days when I am sleepy ... how I start, how I end

but I do meditate daily Over a few months or years of practice, sleep can be overcome.

Not just every day, but every moment

"Not only everyday, but every moment"  Practice every moment. There is another one I will post in which he says that if I do not practice, I will dry up. Very practical and profound.  And this turned out to be the Thich Nhat Hanh day on BAM (beameditator.com)  Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ9UtuWfs3U (Thank you Oprah)

This is my training, this is my Practice ~ Thich Nhat Hahn

This is my training, This is my practice

When it is time to think, think, then return to the Now.

When it is time to plan, plan. Then you return back to this moment. The Now.

Put your whole mind into the present action

Put your whole mind into the present action

The first thing that happens when you re-enter the present moment

The first thing that happens when you re-enter the present moment is that you become aware of your sense perceptions.  Source: Quote: Video about Eckhart Tolle Source: Image: Wikipedia

The mind also needs a rest

Mind: Its too much ... can I put some thoughts down ... it will help me relax     Me: Yes, just follow the breath

Do not be dominated by your thoughts ... be a meditator

You don't have to be dominated by your thoughts. Instead, Be a Meditator.

Watch a thought

Watch a thought. See how long it lasts ...

Awareness of the body anchors us

Awareness of the body anchors us in the present moment.

Can you feel that your body is alive?

Another way to get back to the present moment.

Put your entire attention on the current action

There is a place for making plans, but not this moment when you are eating ...

There is a certain peace in the background

... and you will notice, there is a certain peace in the background.

Watch the thought as you would watch a dog walk past you

Watch the thought as you would watch a dog walk past you. You need not follow it.

Without the alertness, you will drift into thinking

What if this moment were really, actually, complete

If you treat this moment as though it is complete,  then you don't get continuously drawn into  events, and thoughts, and emotions, and actions.  Inspired by a quote from Eckhart Tolle

Enjoy all the experiences

There will be high notes, there will be low notes,  The question is, is the music passing you by?  And all you have to do is to pause, and listen

Nothing Further needs to be added to this moment

"Nothing further needs to be added to this moment" ~Eckhart Tolle

Watch without interpretation

"As you sit here, is it possible for you to simply watch what is happening around you, without adding any interpretation to it" - Eckhart Tolle

Meditate with total commitment

With the whole world closed out,  With total commitment,  With a feeling heart,  Practice every day

Honor The Moment

Honor the moment,  become aware of what it demands of you.

Every day, I will meditate more deeply than yesterday

Every day I will meditate more deeply than I did yesterday.  Inspired by a quote from Paramhansa Yogananda

Let Body, Mind and Emotions all be still

The body must be still ...  The feelings must be still ...  The mind must be still ...  I have never noticed if my feelings were ever still ...

The advantage of meditating early in the morning ...

The advantage of meditating early in the morning or late at night in urban areas,  is that there is less noise and less chance of being disturbed.

Keep a corner exclusively for meditation

Those who can afford it should have a room or a screened-off corner, used exclusively for the purpose of meditation.  I should be the change I publish on this website :P

Cessation of thought

Over time it does cessate ... wait a minute, is that even a word ... stop ... still ... those are better words.

Plunge Deep into Meditation

I hope you read this right before you sit down to practice.

Make meditation a karm yog

Consider Meditation too as karm yog;  Action, without desire for the fruit of action.  Inspired by a quote by Paramhansa Yogananda

Light hearted: Take some time away from thoughts

It won't hurt their feelings.  It will be back when you need it.

What thought thinks about your noticing it

Thought says, "Love me or hate me, just don't notice me non-judgmentally. It makes me want to go away." So now you know what to do?

Cannot force thoughts away, we have to allow them

You cannot force a thought away.   You can allow it to dissipate by simply noticing it.  And then the mind can return to its anchor

Meditation requires fearlessness

Meditation requires fearlessness, to boldly face all the beauty and the ugliness of the inner world.

Meditate with a tree

Sit near a tree and touch the bark of the tree.   Close your eyes and feel the life arising in the tree.

Feel the life in Others

Take someone's hand in your hand,  close your eyes and feel the life in the others

Let Every sense become alive to the moment

Let every sense become alive to the moment.

The art of meditation means doing one's own homework

The art of meditation means doing one's own homework.

Awareness softens old patterns

Stillness softens old patterns, it slows them down, it makes it easier for us to choose a new path.  Spot the difference?

Mindfulness can include techniques such as being aware of the taste and texture of soup

Meditation can include techniques such as being aware of the taste and texture of Soup. that soup looks yum!
