Be A Meditator- Observe your breath with full awareness

If we regularly observe our breath. Happiness, joy, calmness, and resilience slowly grow and make our life more colourful.  Like Aaron's, every breath drawn with full awareness makes his life colourful.                                                                              Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator-Life in the consciousness of timelessness is an everlasting joy

There may be a particular moment in our lives that gave us so much happiness it goes on forever, even after the moment is over. Like when some people on a marooned boat for days in the ocean's vastness suddenly see a speck of land. Imagine the joy they must have felt at that moment. Much later, whenever they think of it, that moment is lasting still, backwards and forward, on into infinity. It is so good and beautiful that it never fades away. The same is the effect of experiences felt during meditation.                                                                                          Keep Meditating

Be A Meditation- Its okay to make a mistake

'I made a mistake' are the four words most people never want to admit. However, everyone makes mistakes. It may be considered as part of the learning process of life when one replays everything in their mind and try to figure out where they went wrong. Meditation can help people in inculcating a habit of going over the entire exercise before they execute it. The process will help in reducing mistakes.                                                                                  Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Our life is a laboratory in which we practice what we learn during meditation

There can be a profound realisation when we use what we learn during our practice of meditation in our day-to-day activities. It can bring us face-to-face with our true selves.                                                                                                                               Keep meditating

Be A Meditator- Being with our breath can be quite adventurous

Being with our breath can be quite adventurous, Sometimes we are surrounded by dazzling lights inside or around our bodies.                                                                                      Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Child follows in parent's footsteps

How did children learn skills in ancient times, when there were no training institutes or professional colleges? Children learned skills just by observing their parents. They imbibed parents' habits, attitudes, speech, etc, unknowingly. Thus the proverb, " Following in father's footsteps" evolved. The children of meditating parents invariably developed a liking for meditation. Meditate to create a meditation atmosphere for children.                                                                                                                                                                               Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- The Present moment is as delightful as a freshly baked cake

Sometimes, when we are with ourselves, we are either in the reveries of the past or in dreams of the future. In case of past, we might be taking an account of what we went through. In case of future, we could be just planning. In either case, we are not present there. Try being in the present moment. The present moment is as delightful as a freshly baked cake. The aroma of the cake is everywhere in the room. when we eat it, it satiates our hunger and gives us pleasure. Being in the present moment also fills us with the aroma of meditation.                                                                                                                                                                                                          Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Every meditational experience is just a perspective, neither good nor bad

Different people may have different perspectives on the same thing. It depends on the position or capacity from which we view things. For example, firework at festivals or at some important social event gives joy to the spectators. But a soldier who has just returned from war field may not find it enjoyable, as they bring back the memories of a sudden round of fire from the enemy line. In the same way, the meditational experience may be different for different people. But that does not mean that my way of doing meditation is not correct.                                                                                                                 Every meditational experience is just a perspective in a field of unlimited perspective. Hence no experience can be judged as good or bad.                                                                                                                                                                                 Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- The art of silence is a gift to us

Staying silent for a few days ( silence retreat) can help us drop limiting beliefs, regrets, and worries. We can tap into a bigger vision for ourselves. When we come back to our normal life, we are more grounded, more centred, and wiser. We find a joy that is unshaken by outer circumstances. Staying silent and observing the breath is meditation.                                                                                                                                                                                           Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Meditate to observe your thoughts without being ruled by them

From my personal experience whenever I close my eyes to start meditating. Thoughts start trotting from this end to that. Sometimes I start imagining things which actually did not happen, and I am visibly affected. When such things happen, it's an indication that we are ruled by our thoughts. Some of the stories our mind makes up can stop us from living out our magnificence. So not to always believe in everything we think. Then how do we differentiate, which one to believe and which one not to believe?  One way is to take a resolution like, "today is a good day to start weeding out unwanted thoughts and planting the thoughts we wish to see flourish". Meditational experience will help us observe thoughts and not limit our magnificence.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Accept this moment exactly as it is

Think of a drive-through on unknown terrain. We always manage to steer clear of whatever comes our way. In the present times, even the GPS is not able to tell if there is any ditch on the road or if the road is blocked maybe because of some repair work. At such junctures, we are unable to drive on. We have to just wait and be patient and do the needful. In the same way, we should accept this moment as it is. Observe our breath as we drive through this moment.                                                                                                                                                                     Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- There is no single path to spiritual realization

When we decide to take a spiritual path. The first question which crosses our mind is which technique to learn or which guru to follow. To tread on the path of spiritual realisation, first, we need to work on self-realisation. What is self-realisation? Self-realisation is knowing all parts of body, mind and soul that we are now in possession of. To achieve this, there is no single path. However, all paths lead to connecting with the soul a spiritual realisation. One can follow any path to self-realisation. However maybe one can start with Ana-Pana-Sati which is the simplest form of meditation.  Breathe in, breathe out and be one with it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Seek to meditation when there is thin line between right and wrong

"Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it. Right is right even if no one is doing it." Yes, at times there is a very thin line between right and wrong. And we need to be very careful, before deciding which is right and which one is the wrong path. Under such circumstances wait for some time and meditate. While meditating, just meditate and not start evaluating the issue. The clarity will appear on its own.                                                                                                   Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- Heal your mind, body and soul through colours

A lot of us have grown up seeing black and white TV change to coloured TV, black and white pictures to coloured pictures Why do we prefer coloured things? Colours have a very important role to play in our life. Starting from growth and nourishment we need sunlight, which is a combination of seven rainbow colours with different energies. Chakras in our body are also associated with particular colours. To enhance the effectiveness of our chakras, some people might decorate their space with a specific colour or seek them out in nature. meditation makes it easier to receive this vibrational flow. Go out in nature and enjoy these colours or seek them within.                                                                                                                                                                             Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator-Aura around your body

We have often heard about the aura around our bodies. According to spiritual beliefs, an aura or human energy field is a coloured emanation said to enclose us. Scientifically heart-like brain generates a powerful electromagnetic field with each contraction extending outside the body. this electrical field can be measured in an electrocardiogram ( ECG). Can we feel the aura around our bodies? almost an imaginary thought. But during meditation, when the mind quiets down, we can feel our own heartbeat and blood circulation, also sensations on our skin. Our emotions and experiences are said to have an impact on our aura. If we spend more time focusing our attention on the aura, which is a portion of our divine self or soul we would feel less pain and hardship. Regular meditation can help us in focusing on our aura.                                                                                           Keep Meditating

Insights in meditation are loud clear

In meditation, insights occur as though a layer of misunderstanding was left behind. Suddenly a new world opens up. It is clear, unmistakable, very very real. This is the experience of a meditator. The same process, the same practice, but a different world unfolds once we break the insight barrier.                                                                             Keep Meditating

Be A Meditator- To dissolve your anger count your breath 1-10

One day a child comes home with a black eye from a fight at school. When his mom asks if he counted to 10 before fighting, he says "Yes, but the other kid's mom asked him to count to 5." But this technique works. It works because consciousness heals. When we bring consciousness to action, we start acting in our own interest. If we are conscious while driving, we tend to drive safely. If we are conscious of our calculations, we score better marks in Math. If we are conscious during interpersonal interactions, we are better at detecting whether we are successfully interacting with the other person.  When people told us to count to 10, they knew that the gaps between the counts contained consciousness. Be conscious.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Keep Meditating
