Self-esteem is an overall opinion of ourselves. that is how we feel about our abilities and limitations. When we have healthy self-esteem we feel good about ourselves and see ourselves as deserving and get respect from others. On the contrary, when we have low self-esteem, we put little value to our opinions and ideas. We keep following others and lose our own individuality. It is observed that a lot of parents keep ticking off their children in a desire to make them the best and perfect. But each time a mistake is pointed out without empathy. His/her self-esteem becomes low, confidence goes down, and the individual's performance deteriorates. Our self-esteem is the most important factor for a fulfilling life.
