But many a time while meditating, instead of staying focused on the sensation of breathing, the mind pulls us in the direction of our to-do list, hopes and worries. On the other side meditation also encourages us to step back and witness life through a more objective lens through which we tend to gradually lose the restraints of self-centeredness.
